Welcome to Mark's Pet Corner

Although Mark Levin is known as a constitutional lawyer and a nationally syndicated broadcaster, he is, first and foremost, a dog lover. In 1998, he and his family welcomed a half-Border Collie/half-Cocker Spaniel they named Pepsi into their lives, and more dogs were not far behind...

Pepsi

Pepsi

1998 - 2011

Pepsi welcomed Sprite and later Griffen into the family. If you read Rescuing Sprite, you know all about Pepsi. His tail was always wagging, and he always had a smile on his face. He loved everyone and was so darn smart. Pepsi never left Mark’s side. Pepsi passed away at 3:30pm ET May 22, 2011. He was the most precious and joyful dog a family could have. He was with the Levins nearly 13 years, the best years, with Pepsi having the energy of a puppy. When he joined Sprite and Griffen, he left the world a less joyful place. Now that he is gone, it is hard to imagine if the tears will ever go away.
Sprite

Sprite

2004 - 2006

In 2004, Mark’s family persuaded him to adopt another dog from the local shelter, a Spaniel mix; the most beautiful dog they'd ever seen. They named him Sprite. Their lives would never be the same.

Sprite and Pepsi became fast friends; they did everything together. The Levin family fell in love with Sprite. But on Halloween night, three weeks after joining the family, their beloved dog collapsed and had to be rushed to the vet. It was the first of many such visits and a long journey for the Levin family, filled with joy and anguish. Sprite's health deteriorated, even as his spirits remained high and his gentle nature continued to inspire the family and the local community. Towards the end of 2006, the Levin family said their last emotional goodbye. Consumed with grief, Mark turned to family, friends, and fans of his radio show for help.
Griffen

Griffen

1996 - 2010

After a few hours with the little guy, Mark was personally attached. He was as cute as could be—a mix of Poodle and Lhasa Apso. He may actually have been part Cairn Terrier, and he couldn’t be more than twenty-five pounds. Griffen was happy to be in the Levin home. He needed and deserved a loving family. The Levin family. Griffen was Mark’s buddy and offered comfort to the family when Sprite passed away.
